Sri Lanka Tour 7 Nights days
Day 1 – Arrival
Upon arrival at the Bandaranayake International Airport you will be warmly greeted by a Travel Diaries representative who will also be your driver and guide for the rest of the tour.
After the formalities are done you will be driven for your first stop which will be the Millennium Elephant Foundation in Pinnawala. This organization was founded in order as charity to rescue and care for captive Asian Elephants in Sri Lanka.
You will also be able to get some rest after the flight and grab some breakfast when and ever possible.
Upon completion proceed to Sigiriya, check in at the hotel and freshen up after the flight. You have the option of experiencing Sri Lankan village life by proceeding on a Village Tour in the area.

Day 2 – Sigiriya & Kandy
On day two you will have an early start and head to Sigiriya, also known as the ‘Lions Rock’ Is UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE which dates back to the 5th Century AD and is considered to be the 8th wonder of the world. Sigiriya as approximately around 1200 steps all the way to the top. If you feel its not within your limitation you have the option of climbing the Pidurangala Rock which is almost the same height but not as hard getting to the top.
Upon completion proceed to Dambulla, This town is mostly famous due to the Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple is also a very important destination for the Buddhist in the island. Dambulla cave temple is considered to be one of the largest best preserved natural painted sealing in the world and it consist of five caves in total with over 150 Buddha statues Inside the caves.
Upon completion proceed to Kandy, en route you have the option of visiting a local Spice & Herbal garden and take a guided tour which you will get to know how and why Sri Lankan spices is one of the best in the world.
Upon arrival in Kandy visit the famous Kandy Temple Of The Tooth Relic, also known as the ‘ Sri Dalada Maligwa ‘ is the most important worshiping place for the Buddhist community in the island and also around the world. Dalada Maligawa is supposed to house the Tooth Of Lord Buddha and thousands of devotes visit the temple due this factor
Kandy – a lovely exotic city, the hill Capital and the last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings is a UNESCO WORLD Site, which retains an aura of grandeur, time has not affected. Enriched by hills, with a tranquil lake in its center, it is the site of the renowned temple that enshrines the Tooth Relic of the Buddha and the Royal Botanical gardens – home to one of the world’s best collections of Orchids. A cultural sanctuary where many legends, traditions and folklore and still lovingly kept alive. Kandy and its satellite villages are the center of the islands handicrafts industry (items of wood, brass & silver) exquisite silver or gold jewelry and precious gems of many varieties including the world’s best blue and star sapphires.
Later in the day if time permits take a walk around the beautiful Kandy Lake and town area and visit the cultural show before you end your day in Kandy

Day 3 – Nuwareliya
On day three before you head out towards to the hill station proceed on a Kandy sightseeing tour, once completed proceed to Ambuluwawa.
Continue the drive to nuwara eliya, visit the Tea Factory and get to know how one of the world’s best Tea is been produced and taste a cup of pure Ceylon Tea. Once completed visit Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple.
Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya visit the Sita Amman Hindu Temple during your sightseeing tour and take a nice walk in the Gregory Park.

Day 4 – Yala
After breakfast proceed to Yala, during your drive to Yala you will be having the following stops as mentioned below.
Divurampola, This is the place where Seetha Devi underwent “Agni Pariksha” (test). It is a popular place of worship among locals in this area. Divurumpola means place of oath in Sinhala. The legal system permits and accepts the swearing done at this temple while settling disputes between parties.
Nine Arch Bridege in Ella / Ravana Cave / Ravana Falls / Mini Adams Peak Ella.
Upon arrival in Yala check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 5– Yala Safari & Mirissa
Today with a packed breakfast you will leave to Yala National Park for exciting game drive, approx. 5.30 AM you will be picked up by a 4×4 jeep.
Yala National Park in considered to be the second largest National Park and its famous due the highest no of leopard in one area in the world.
Upon completion come back to the hotel and check out after you refresh your self’s. onced checked out from the hotel proceed to Kataragama Shrine (God Skanda)
Kataragamam temple in kataragama, is a temple complex dedicated to Buddhist guardian devil kataragama deviyo and Hindu War God Murugan. It is one of the few religious sites in Sri Lanka that is venerated by the Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims and the Vedda people. For most of the past millennia, it was a jungle shrine very difficult to access; today it is accessible by an all-weather road. The shrines and the nearby Kiri Vehera are managed by Buddhists; the shrines dedicated to Teyvāṉai and Shiva are managed by Hindus and the mosque by Muslims.
Upon completion proceed to Ussangoda Legend: According to Ramayana, after meeting Seetha Devi Lord Hanuman decided to test the strength of the mighty King Ravana and his army of Rakshasas. In the event that unfolded Lord Hanuman’s tail was set on fire by the Rakshasas, who in turn went on to torch some parts of King Ravana’s empire. Ussangoda is one of the torched areas, which is said to have been an airport used by King Ravana.
Upon completion proceed to Mirissa and check in at the hotel for the rest of the evening.




- Overnight Stay At Mirissa
Day 6–Whale Watching & Colombo
On day six you will proceed on a whale watching cruise at 7.00am. You can have a packed breakfast and also the boat will be serving you a few snacks as well.
Upon completion head out to drive to the busiest city in Sri Lanka ‘Colombo’, en route you will get to see a unique way of fishing in the area of weligama this is a world famous site and it’s the only place in the island which you can experience this art of fishing.


- Overnight Stay In Colombo
Day 7– Colombo
After breakfast proceed on a half day city of the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. You will be mainly visiting the important landmarks.
Attractions – Old Parliament / Galle Face Green / Floating Market / English Cloak Tower / Presidential Palace / Colonial Buildings / Lotus Tower / Town Hall / Vihara Maha Devi Park / Lotus Pond / BMICH / Independence Square etc..
Rest of the day you can spend time on your own or do some last minute shopping.

Day 8– End of the Tour
After breakfast proceed to the Airport well in time to connect your departure time with all the lovely memories you had in this magical island.
